Vacation in Colorado - Day 3 (Beaver Creek)
On Day 3 we all decided to hit Beaver Creek. We did our best to leave the house at 7:45, but it was more like 8:45. I definitely didn't mind. We had eggs and Jimmy Dean's.... and let's not forget Antonio's Guatemalan Bean Curd stuff... didn't look very appetizing, "oh, but it was, you said it yourself."
As I thought might happen, Chris' friends were definite speedsters. They could make it down to the lift line before I was 1/2 way down. So, I told them to take off. The way it happened was that we got split up when I took a green (Cinch), while they took a black (Centennial), down to the Cinch Express lift. Turns out I bumped into them shortly after while waiting at the Larkspur Express lift. They had gone down a few intense blacks on Grousse Mountain. I'm so happy I didn't follow them. Chris told me I would have been .... upset. So, we ended up Larkspur a few times before taking a break for the day.
Post break.... well, Antonio and co. pretty much took off shortly after because they had a party in Denver to get to that evening. Chris and I cruised until about 3pm.
So, yeah, that's basically it. Note: that we never really drank or ate après-ski. We were keeping things cheap, plus we were too tired to not go home and just lounge on the couch. Once again, that's what we did.
